ABOUT BRITTANY DIXON | CHAIR
Brittany Dixon is originally from North Dakota, but was sold on the 300+ days of sunshine Grand Junction, Colorado promises since it is very different from the weather she is accustomed to. She studied Political Science and Business Administration at Colorado Mesa University, while also being a diver on the Varsity Swim and Dive Team. After graduating, Brittany wanted to stick around and enjoy the Colorado experience. She enjoys her time skiing in the winter and floating the river and camping in the summer.
Brittany started her young professional journey as the Policy and Outreach Representative for Club 20, a non-partisan political advocacy coalition that represents the 22 counties on the Colorado Western Slope. She then moved into the role of Policy and Outreach Director. She was recently promoted to Executive Director for the organization and is excited to hold the position to ensure the prosperity and success of Club 20.
Brittany loves being a part of an organization that proves that civil discourse can still exist. She describes the feeling you get when walking into a Club 20 meeting and watching procedures as "magic." It is so rare in today's current realm of politics that a group of individuals can come together to discuss Western Slope solutions to Western Slope issues.
Brittany's favorite part about being a YPNMC member is learning what others are doing in the community and being there to cheer on other young professionals' successes!
