Derek Irick was adopted from China in 2010 and moved to Grand Junction shortly after. He graduated from Colorado Mesa University with a BAS in Business Management, a BBA in Marketing, a BBA in Entrepreneurship, and an associate degree in culinary arts.

Derek has been in the real estate business for 5 years, starting his career as a personal assistant to a full-time real estate agent. He is now an award-winning, top-producing residential broker at Bray Real Estate, where he represents Western Slope homeowners and home buyers. His creative, enthusiastic, and caring nature is perfect for meeting each client’s desires, as well as skillfully featuring a home’s unique presence and character. He works tirelessly to promote his clients' interests, whether they are buying or selling.

When not assisting clients, Derek enjoys traveling and giving back to the Grand Valley community. He has been a member or served on the boards of organizations such as the Young Professionals Network of Mesa County (YPNMC), the Young Professionals Network of the Grand Junction Area REALTOR® Association (GJARA YPN), Hope West Next Gen, Western Slope Center For Children, Grand Junction Area REALTOR® Association REALTORS® Political Action Committee (GJARA RPAC), the Grand Valley Young Alumni Chapter of Colorado Mesa University, and the Mesa County Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).

Derek was a member of YPNMC for several years prior to serving on the board. He was even awarded YPN of the Quarter in 2020. He loves the friendships and business relationship he has been able to form as a result of being involved in the organization.
