ABOUT HOGAN PETERSON | YPNMC PAST CHAIR

Hogan Peterson is a public policy and government affairs professional based in Grand Junction, specializing in natural resources policy. He currently serves as Director of Legislative Affairs for the Colorado State Shooting Association, where he leads policy and strategy efforts. 

 

Originally from Rifle, Hogan studied political science at Colorado Mesa University and has worked as an outreach and policy staffer for members of Colorado's Congressional delegation in both the US Senate and House of Representatives, where he worked on Western Slope legislation such as the relocation of the headquarters of the Bureau of Land Management and the passage of the Great American Outdoors Act. He has also served as state director for The Mule Deer Foundation, where he led statewide wildlife conservation operations. 

 

Hogan serves as a volunteer with the Western Colorado Business Alliance and Mesa County Search and Rescue. In his free time, he enjoys bowhunting, trail running, and hiking with his dog, Mongo.
