ABOUT KIRSTIN MASKA

A passion for workforce development and pathways to career exploration drives Kirstin Maska as the Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce Workforce Development Coordinator. Kirstin’s efforts focus on creating a bridge between students (ranging from middle school to college) and the local business community. By helping develop the next generation of CEO’s through the Young Entrepreneur Academy, pairing apprentices and interns with future career paths and helping employers get involved in developing their workforce, she works to make connections in the Grand Valley. Kirstin, alongside community partners, drive the conversation around local workforce efforts and the partnerships that create success for both businesses and students alike.
Kirstin and her family are 3rd generation locals to Grand Junction. She graduated from Colorado Mesa University in 2014 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and over the last decade of her career she has worked in corrections and child welfare, and before her time at GJACC, she spent three years as a Youth Employment Specialist at the Mesa County Workforce Center. Reading, playing volleyball, and spending time with her family keeps Kirstin’s free time busy and full of connection.
Kirstin enjoys that the Young Professionals Network and Board has allowed her to add value to the community and bring her lifelong friendships.
