ABOUT HUNTER MCKIE

Hunter McKie isn’t the typical millennial. Some see him as an old soul and others recognize his unmistakable deep Western Colorado roots that shine through in his day-to-day work. Hunter was raised in Montrose and while he currently resides in Grand Junction, he frequents his hometown and the surrounding San Juan Mountains often.
His daily activity goals include mountain biking, kayaking, skiing, playing guitar, seeing live music, and golfing. As the seasons allow and in that order. To fund the outdoor adventures and fuel the body, Hunter currently earns a paycheck as a Digital Marketing Specialist on the Marketing Team at Family Health West, since early 2023.
Hunter said he really enjoys using data to make creative decisions. He also loves using creativity to solve problems. He enjoys collaborating with his team to help grow Family Health West digitally and marketing in the community while establishing and maintaining their brand values and all of the things that have made FHW so great for so long.
Pre-COVID had Hunter chasing outdoor activities in Montana working at the Yellowstone Club, drilling underground in Nevada Gold Mines, and building custom homes back in Montrose. Post-COVID Hunter obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in marketing at Colorado Mesa University.
Hunter’s favorite part of being on the YPN Board is the opportunity to give back to the Mesa County community that has embraced and fueled his outdoor heart and given him so many opportunities to thrive in this adulting life. Hunter is committed to being part of making this the best place to live and work in Colorado (and Eastern Utah). In addition to serving YPN, Hunter is on the City of Fruita Parks & Rec Board, serving in that role since spring 2024.
