The Young Professionals Network was pleased to welcome Tanya Adams for a thoughtful and informative Lunch Conversation focused on one of the most pressing issues facing our region: housing.

Tanya led an engaging discussion around the local housing challenge and provided a clear look at how Habitat’s model works to expand access to affordable homeownership in Mesa County. From partnering with future homeowners to mobilizing volunteers and operating the ReStore, she outlined how each piece of the organization’s work connects to create long-term, sustainable impact.

Attendees gained insight into the real stories behind the mission, learning how families move from uncertainty to stability through a structured partnership model that emphasizes dignity, responsibility, and community investment. Tanya also shared practical ways young professionals can get involved, whether through volunteering, advocacy, workplace engagement, or supporting the ReStore.

The conversation concluded with a brief behind-the-scenes tour of the ReStore, offering participants a firsthand look at how donated goods and community partnerships directly contribute to building homes locally.

Through her leadership and insight, Tanya helped young professionals better understand both the complexity of the housing challenge and the tangible ways they can be part of meaningful solutions.
